- ¾ cup (180g) ketchup
- ¼ cup (60g) honey
- 2 Tbsp (40g) molasses
- ¼ tsp (<1g) onion powder
- ½ tsp (1g) garlic powder
- 2 tsp (7g) smoked paprika
- 2½ tsp (8g) freshly cracked black peppercorns
- 2 Tbsp (30mL) distilled white vinegar
- 1 Tbsp (15mL) Worcestershire sauce
- 2 Tbsp (30g) Dijon mustard
- 1 tsp (5mL) liquid smoke
- Kosher salt, to taste
- Water, as needed for consistency

- Combine the ketchup, honey, molasses, onion powder, garlic powder, paprika, black pepper, vinegar, Worcestershire, Dijon, and liquid smoke in a small saucepan.
- Add a small splash of water to thin to your desired consistency. Bring to a gentle boil over medium heat, then reduce to a simmer and cook, stirring occasionally, for 3-4 minutes. Season to taste with salt.
- Let cool completely before serving. For the best flavor, cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour before serving.
