Perfect Baked Potato

Ingredients

  • 1 large russet potato
  • 1 tsp (4g) olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Directions

  1. Preheat the oven to 425°F (218°C). While the oven is preheating, use a fork to poke holes into the potato. 
  2. Brush the potato with olive oil and season with kosher salt and pepper. Once seasoned, place the potato onto a wire rack-lined baking tray.
  3. Place the tray into the oven and cook the potato for 40-50 minutes. The potato should be crispy on the outside and fork tender on the inside. 
  4. Once cooked, remove the potato from the oven. Cut the potato open lengthwise down the middle. Fluff the insides and serve.
