- To a blender, add the desired amount of kosher salt and the sugar and blend on high speed until it turns to powder.
- To a 6-quart pot set over medium-high heat, add the vegetable oil and heat until just smoking. Add the popcorn kernels and sugar/salt mixture and top with a lid.
- Continuously and vigorously shake the pot, holding the lid down, until the popping begins to subside, about 3-4 minutes.
- Pour into a serving bowl and enjoy.
