The easiest pigs in a blanket recipe upgrade ever.
Serves: 4-6
Prep Time: 5 minutes, plus thawing puff pastry 4 hours
Cook Time: 15-18 minutes
Ingredients:
4 kielbasa sausages
1 cup (90g) cheddar cheese, shredded
1 box puff pastry, thawed 4 hours (or overnight) in the fridge
Water, for sealing pastry dough
Method:
Preheat your oven to 400°F (204°C).
On a cutting board, lay out your thawed puff pastry and cut into rectangles (4 strips) wide enough to leave a ½-inch of exposed sausage on each end.
Onto the center of each strip of puff pastry, place a tablespoon of cheese. Place a piece of Kielbasa on top of the cheese. Wrap the sausage in the puff pastry, but before you close the pastry, dab your finger in water and lightly brush the top edge of the dough where it would seal. Cut off any excess dough and close the pastry. Place it seam side down on a sheet tray.
Bake for 15-18 minutes, or until golden brown. Serve and enjoy.
